Color Coordination: Maximizing Your Arranging Toolkit
Adding color changes in your arrangements is great, and in this class we will be expanding on dissonances and reharmonizations, and informing both with your artistic vision for the arrangement and its arc. Attendees can expect to expand their toolkit and get a better understanding of when / how to utilize that toolkit with real-time singing exercises in class. Open enrollment, but it is recommended attendees understand basic music theory.

Hit 'Em With The Feels
Through studying the scores and recordings of cinematic arrangements, we will analyze and discuss how arrangers use nuanced vowels, onset and decay, and texture and registral choices to maximize the impact and range of emotions in their work. Outcome: Having listened to and discussed many examples, attendees will come away inspired by a sense of new possibilities in arranging and new ideas for techniques and textures to experiment with in their own arrangements.
